News from CRB Vigne

Here are the latest updates regarding the activities of the Vassal-Montpellier Vine Genetic Resources Centre:

• Since September 1st, the Vassal-Montpellier Vine Genetic Resources Centre has welcomed a new manager, Ms. Cécile Marchal, a research engineer who has just been recruited by INRA. She will be in charge of managing the Resource Centre and preparing for the upcoming relocation of the collection to the Pech Rouge estate. We extend a warm welcome to her.
• At the same time, prospecting for genetic resources from old vineyards continues. Along with our local partners, collection missions are taking place in France - in the Alps, Languedoc and Provence - as well as abroad, currently in Greece and Spain.
• Finally, we are pleased to announce that a new version of the database has been online since the beginning of September. This database gathers information from the Vassal-Montpellier Vine Genetic Resources Centre and the French Network of Vine Conservatories. This version 3 is bilingual and includes numerous improvements to the browsing interface. The database is accessible at the following address: http://bioweb.supagro.inra.fr/collections_vigne/Home.php.
