1. Scope of application
The BrACySol BRC maintains collections of different cultivated species. These general conditions are intended to clarify the roles of each party in the context of the distribution of plant material by the BrACySol BRC. In addition to the general conditions applying to all collections, each part specifies, where necessary, the specific conditions applying to each collection. Placing an order with the BrACySol BRC implies full and implicit acceptance of the present general and, where applicable, specific conditions agreed between the BrACySol BRC and the applicant.
2. How to order
Orders are placed directly via the Siregal web portal (https://urgi.versailles.inra.fr/siregal/siregal/grc.do). For genetic resources not listed on the web portal (research collections) or in the case of a specific request, applicants may contact the Solanum collection managers at any time: Bracysol-solanum@inrae.fr
Taking into account the physiology of the plant material or periods of work overload, the period for taking and processing orders is :
- Tubers : Mid-January to end of March
- In vitro plantlets : all year long
Warnings :
- Orders received outside this period will not be honored and no warning message will be sent to the applicant.
- The content of this catalog is given for information only and the availability of Biological Resources (BR) may change at any time without notice.
3. Quantity supplied
Subject to plant material availability, the quantities supplied per accession requested are :
- Tubers : 4
- In vitro plantlets in Petri dishes : 6
For private individuals: only one order will be accepted per distribution period. Each order may not exceed 10 accessions.
4. Order processing and deadline
Orders are subject to a feasibility study by the Diffusion Manager, who may ask the applicant for any other information he or she deems useful in assessing the admissibility of the request. The feasibility study is based, among other things, on the availability of the BR, the reason for the request, and distribution regulation. The applicant is informed of the decision and the reasons for any refusal. It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain information from the competent authorities of the country of destination, or through which the BRs are shipped, on the documents required for their import, and to provide these to the BrACySol BRC for shipping of the samples. The BrACySol BRC cannot be held responsible for any violation by the applicant of the laws or obligations of the recipient countries. The BrACySol BRC cannot be held responsible for any alterations to the product due to transport damage or any delay in delivery.
Once the order has been processed, a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) is sent to the applicant for signature. Its signature constitutes a commitment between the BrACySol BRC and the applicant, as well as compliance with the agreed conditions.
The average time between receipt of the order and sending of the MTA for signature is one month, except where additional information is required, which may take longer. The average time to ship the material once the signed MTA has been retruned is 15 days. The applicant must acknowledge receipt of the material.
Warnings :
- If the signed MTA is not returned 3 weeks after it has been sent by the BrACySol BRC, the order will be cancelled, but recorded.
- If the acknowledgement of receipt of the plant material is not returned, the applicant will no longer have access to the BRs of the BrACySol BRC for future requests.
5. Price
The BrACySol BRC has no specific budget for managing its BRs. Nevertheless, the CRB does not currently ask for any contribution to the costs of conservation, processing the orders and shipping the material. In the case of a special request, a quotation will be drawn up and provided with the MTA.
6. Data processing
The information collected is used to monitor the activities of the BrACySol BRC. This data is exclusively reserved for statistical analysis and accessible to BrACySol BRC members only. The applicant undertakes to refer to the BrACySol BRC and its collection in all publications or communications arising from the use of the BRs supplied. The BRC reserves the right to modify its terms and conditions without prior notice, for ethical reasons or any other reason(s) it deems valid.
